Transnistria (Currency)

Area: 11,544 square miles                           Population: 700,000

The Transnistria Moldavian Republic was formed in 1990, even before the separation of Moldavia from Russia. Once Moldavia SSR declared independence in 1991, Transnistria did not want to be part of Moldavia. Transnistria has a president, parliament, army and police force, but as yet is lacking international recognition.

Front of note depicts equestrian statue of A. V. Suvorov at right. Back of note Parliament building. Beautiful block design with even gorgeous colors and wonderful strong eye appeal. Would be hard to find a nicer uncirculated example. (View image for more detail.)
