Between 1918 and 1948 Palestine was under British mandate. After the repeal of the mandate, and the withdrawal of the troops, the State of Israel was proclaimed on May 14th, 1948.

Obverse name of country in Arabic, English & Hebrew, plus olive branch & date. Rev. value. Coin is made with a center hole. Pretty even light brown and sharp borderline AU detail. Marks are below average, but a very light rim tap at 5 o’clock reverse, which is hard to detect, holds this one back. (View image for more detail.)
