Formerly Spanish Guinea, the Republic of Equatorial Guinea consists of Rio Muni, located on the coast of west Central Africa between Cameroon and Gabon, and the off-shore islands of Fernando Po, Annobon, Corisco, Elobey Grande and Elobey Chico. Equatorial Guinea concerted to the CFA currency system as issued for the Central African States issuing its first 100 Franc denomination in 1985.
