Bolivia covers most of the high areas of Ancient Peru, which formerly belonged to  the Empire of the Incas and had been part of the Viceroyalty of Peru since the 16th century. Bolivia became a Republic in 1825.

Hard to find FAO Coin Plan issue. Obverse Sun rising over mount Potosi, vicuna. Rev. value, date and origin. Wonderful full bright satin luster and sharp features. A few light marks reverse on reverse keep this one from being gem, but it one choice example. (View image for more detail.)
