Bermuda (Coins)

The islands of the Bermudas were discovered in 1522 by the Spaniard Juan de Bermudez, then occupied and colonized by the English nearly one hundred years later. This group of islands, which number about 300, is situated about 677 miles southeast of Cape Hatteras, facing the North American Continent; it is the oldest self-governing British Colony (self-governing since 1888).

Monetary System

12 Pence = 1 Shilling, 5 Shillings = 1 Crown, 20 Shillings = 1 Pound;

since February 6, 1970: 100 Cents = 1 Bermuda Dollar
